Just thought I’d share something I knocked up today utilizing this engine, its a GTA 1 clone, although you cant drive a car or anything for that matter. Tell us what you think and if you think it be worth re-texturing and then releasing later on.

It takes a while to create the mesh using the original map files from gta so be little patient.

Requirements 700Mb Ram

Thorght I do some more work on this project it now uses worker for creating all geometry and dynamically merges all the textures to one large texture resulting in 1 material and 64 meshes now uses less memory only 200mb check it out http://jitgames.com/away3d/main.html

Driving around New York all by my lonesome.

Got stuck in the water a few times, needs a ramp out.

Now you mean, it takes 200 mb of RAM? Not sure if that’s a lot or a little in game design.

It is a lot of memory for this game been working on more optimisations all the time currently writing my own 2d collision engine for this as awayphysics is so slow at uploading rigidbodys
