Hi all,

Here are some general demos cooked up inbetween work and sleeping using Away3D 4:

Nice demos

I used away3D long time ago and i’m impressed by the improvement of the performance with flash player 11 and gpu acceleration.

Is it possible to have the source of the city test demo ?
I just want to know what kind of Material was used in the demo and how they are apply to the loaded 3DS model.

The models used in my demo are not really meant for web use and the implementation for the material is hacked so that it just displays rather than for production use. You would be better off looking at:

https://github.com/away3d/away3d-examples-fp11

See:
Basic_Load3DS.as and Basic_LoadOBJ.as

The material I’ve used is an Environment map applied to a material with an adjustment of the diffuse param I think it was. Code is not at hand at the moment. But if you want to do things properly best to look at the above examples.
