Flash’s death has been announced more times than I can remember, but the more it’s being talked about, the closer it gets.
PPAPI makes Stage3D incredibly slow, and slowly, HTML5 is proves to be a better solution to building 3D games.
Will there be an HTML5 version for Away3D? Or should we start migrating to HTML5 solutions before it’s too late?

You can currently publish your away3d content/game to an html5 compatible output using using Away3D JS, Typescript or using Away3D OpenFL, Haxe.
Both languages being very similar to as3.
So basically you can already output you Away3D content to javascript, native mac, windows, android, ios etc… and of course you still have as3 for the player and AIR.
The 2 new apis are in development, yet already robust and extended enough to do what most will ever need.

Migrating to these two is not very hard if you are familiar with as3. The flow and tools are different. That’s all.

I’ve never tried TypeScript before, but it seems I will have to if I want to get rid of Flash.
Thanks for your answer.
