The particle engine is could use some wind/turbulence parameters, and maybe some post processing? This one uses less particles… http://www.videometry.net/particles/cigarette.swf But is somehow more realistic. Cheers!

See this example: http://www.effecthub.com/item/652 @Stephen Hopkins I guess you didn’t create a new effect after the app launch. You should click the “File” on the menu bar and then click “New” at first.
