I work for an interactive kiosk company, and we are looking to add 3D to our flash products. I am doing a proof of concept project involving a price is right type wheel. I brought my model into AwayBuilder and set up a very simple scene with a wheel and 1 directional light. It looks decent enough in AwayBuilder, so I save it as an awd file and bring it into my project. But when I spin the wheel in the project it is like the shading is baked into the model, the part of the model that is in shadow on the bottom continues to look like it is in shadow as it spins. Can’t seem to figure it out…..any ideas.

Doh, figured it out. This is my first time with 3D in flash, and I just assumed the awd file was a model, once I realized it was actually a scene file, then I was able to access the elements I needed and all is good.
