Hi,
Why not make Away3D a C++ open source engine specifically optimized to work with FlasCC and Emscripten ?
It seems that performance bottlenecks from AS3 and “normal” JavaScript wouldn’t be as bad anymore, and you would have to maintain only one code base instead of two (AS3 and TypeScript).
Away3D would still be just as accessible to AS3 developers as it is today, and the source wouldn’t be that much harder to understand to them because current AS3 source code isn’t very documented anyway.
