Read current values of pitch, roll and yaw on an ObjectContainer3D

I know there is a formula somewhere on the web for converting quaternions to pitch, roll and yaw, but it would be hugely useful if we could read the global pitch, roll and yaw from a property or method of ObjectContainer3D.  I can keep track of some changes in a accumulative counter, but some objects rotate with others and it is tough to get that value.  Also, there really should be a way to set an object to a specific global pitch, roll or yaw, regardless of the object’s current position.

Ok, I’m going to bump this.  Please let me know if this is likely to be added or perhaps point me to somewhere where I can get a better understanding of the vector math.
