Water Caustics / Refraction in Away3D 4…

I have done 2 games in Flare3D now, and have picked Away3D for my next project, due to its open architecture.

I want to achieve a similar water effect to this pixel Bender example -

I only need a fixed camera looking down however. Would something like this be possible in Away3D with shaders?
