Hi everyone.
Could You explain me how to save my model in 3ds max to import it in away3d? When I save as 3ds, I can import it but I don’t have material file like in the examples. I found that I can render to texture in 3ds max but with wich options I should render? Is there any tutorial? I need to say I’m really beginner in away3d and 3d either.

Hi,

1st export from 3dmax and import in swift 3d

then export from swift 3d in *.dae to load files in away3d

If you need a separate material file, use obj.
I recommend this export/importer for 3D Studio MAX as the one included is a little flaky and many models don’t export correctly to Away.

Personally I manage my materials inside AS3, assigning after the model has loaded.

Good Luck!
