Hi,

I see there is already a terrain splatting method for bitmaps, any chance we could see this for materials though? For example, so that a rock splatting layer may have a different normal map and specular value than grass or dirt.

I am very new to Away3D and still learning my way around it. I really love it so far!

Thank you grin

You can achieve this with the SandCastle API: https://github.com/Radiosatch2000/sandcastle

It includes two new materials, a TerrainMaterial and a ColorTerrainMaterial which allows you to apply normal maps to every splat.

You can also get a subscription to the SandCastle program which allows you to create modify the terrain on the fly and see it run in the Away3D environment before exporting it.  The download link and more information can be found at: http:www.theyellowthorn.com
