Hi buddies,
i´m quite newbie at away3D, and i´m going into some troubles…

I have a project working on FlashPro CS6, i had some problems get it working on Air 3.2 , but finally, when i render the view after create my objects seems to get it working… in the test mode..

Now.. i want to publish the thing to get the real gpu working…

I tried to publish as a swf and then as an external installer…
As swf .. the window just go minimize / background / disapear ,,,

When i install the application… Application running with all the stuff , but no 3d scene or view… Just the 2D text on stage are shown… and Stats..

Anyone knows what is going here… and how can i go further ?

Thanks all,
Away3D-MasterWork - Thanks !!

Hi, you should find plenty of tips and possible solutions by searching the forum.

Quickly what comes to mind :
1. Make sure you compile with -swf-version=15
2. Make sure you have <depthAndStencil>true</depthAndStencil> in the application.xml file
3. Same with <application > (note the 3.2 at the end)
4. Same with <renderMode>direct</renderMode>

edit : ok the forum eats the application tag… just make sure you have “http://ns.adobe.com/air/application/3.2” in there

Sorry didn’t noted you were compiling from Flash (you should try out FlashDevelop if you haven’t already - it’s free), I guess it should do the -swf-version thing on his own as long as you target player 11+ but can’t say for sure.

Do you have any debugging capabilities, to know in case any errors are thrown? Make sure you use the latest Away3D from the release branch on GitHub, since there have been some fixes to AIR-related issues in that branch.

My Debug capabilities are very week in there… but i will try to go further on that as well.

Finally i could read some debug message and was a problem packing a file…
It shouldn´t go until there… making the instalator and install application…

So nice !

So, now i got some prototype working in flash Professional CS6 with away3D 4 / Physics / Kinect AS3NUI working together (and published as air desktop)

Next Step:
Particles….
What to you advise Richard ... ?
lion / Agal / Flint ?

Thanks for all

There is a particles branch in Away3D that you can check out. There you’ll be able to find some particle system features. Those features will be merged with the main branch of Away3D in time for the 4.1 release later this year.

Are you familiar with Git? If you clone the source code from Git, you can use the checkout command to switch to the branch called particlesfeature. If you don’t use Git, and just want to download a snapshot, go to https://github.com/away3d/away3d-core-fp11/zipball/particlesfeature

What i did was linking all the libs again ans incremental checking.
Also try to debug instead of test movie.

Are you referencing external files ? If so… are you sure the references are pointing the right place ?
