Our latest game: H.O.R.S.E

Software: Away3D 4.x

Hey everyone, so here’s our latest.  I learned a lot on this one.  It’s using Away3D and Flash Media Server for multiplayer gaming (and sending vector positions and using TweenLite to keep them in sync).  Also, I’d never really learned about texture baking before, but we made heavy use of it here.  I really think that improves the look over our first few efforts using Away3D and the built in shadows.

Anyway, take a look and enjoy!

P.S., it’s using Away Physics so until that mess gets sorted out, I fear this game will be shortlived.

Would like to be able to turn the music off. (I prefer what im listneing to)
To add on to that, volume control for the effects

The sound effects are great.
And it looks and plays sweet.

John, coming from you that’s a great compliment!

Yeah, we just have the one global muter (it’s at the top right).

Sorry if that annoys, and thanks!

Doh, I just found a big bug from some fix I uploaded and had to roll back.  If anyone wasn’t getting letters, it’s fixed now.  Just refresh.

Good gameplay/level of difficulty/graphics/sound effects.
There’s no letters when playing against the computer, it keeps on for ever. Would be good to cut the music loop and keep the nicely synced sound effects.

Cheers!

Thanks!  I fixed that bug and then proceeded to not upload it correctly.

Should be working now, if anyone wants to test again.

Note to self: always test before uploading!  (and then test again…)

Yeah, at some point I think I need to add full screen support to all these 3D games.  Can anyone post some code on how this works?  In my case, I’d need to only show the full screen on the 720x400 rectangle of the game and hide the sidebars.

I know I can dig up the info but if anyone has some code handy I’d appreciate it!

The first casualty in the Alchemy 2 Wars.

Yes, this is because you have Flash 11.2 installed which breaks Away Physics (which uses Alchemy).

At this point, I’m just going to hope that Adobe and the guys here solve this issue before 11.2 becomes official or Flash apps all across the web are going to break in unison.

If you want to try out the game, roll back to 11.1.

Thanks!
