I’m testing a simple music visualizer for Flash 11, built with Away3D. You need to have Flash 11 installed to run this (if you haven’t updated yet, you can find it here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ )

In the top right, you can see the average FPS your browser is rendering (after the *A:*).

I’m getting:

66 FPS in IE
59 FPS in Chrome
44 FPS in Firefox (!)

all on Win7.

What are you getting?

I’ve included Skrillex, Sigur Ros and a song from Portal for your enjoyment smile

Performance depends on the hardware, flash player quite isolated from the browser…

Windows XP SP-3

Most importantly, as I am finding with my own products, NVidia GeForce 9600 GSO.

FF 5.x
FPS meter bounces rapidly and continuously between 32 and 55.

Chrome 14.x
Same bouncing but between 52 and 58.

IE 8.x
Same bouncing but all the way down around 15 to 28.
