just checked it and there is nothing in the repositories and awayphysics.com is a dead link?

AwayPhysics (working title) is a very early adoption of the BulletFlash endeavor of porting Bullet to Flash, but tailored for use with Away3D. It is being checked in as we speak and is in a very early stage. Please bear with us. smile And stay tuned for updates!

AwayPhysics is something we will be revealing more of over the coming weeks. But for now, various pieces are being slotted in and we hope to have some examples / demos coming your way soon.

I am using jiglibflash and want to try this new AwayPhysics. I was wonder what is the different between this two Lib?

Shortly: Performance.
Away Physics is using alchemy to get max. performance.

The core we are using for Away Physics is Bullet, which is a well know physic engine and used in a lot of game engines / 3d ‘editor’s. Bullet is still being actively developed where ‘jiglib’ is not.

Keep in mind that Away Physics is in it’s early stage so not all features are there yet, neither is there any documentation. We will add more example soon, which will expose current features and should get you started.

I compiled the physics engine examples and they are only running at 5fps.
DRIV in the stats display says opengl.
Am I missing something?

- That shouldn’t be the case, which example did you try or they all give you 5 fps ?

- What machine/GPU/OS are you running at and what do you experience with other examples without physics from Away3d ?

They should run 60/60 most of the time.

Aspector can you remove the _view.antialias = 4 lines and test it again. I did get reports that on some machine that might slow it down big time.
Also make sure you compile it without debug mode.
