Hello everyone.

I’m working on a crossover project between Flash and C++. Long story made short, I have the need to read 3D models made in DirectX (.x files). I searched all over the net and can not find any classes that do this job.

Is there any restriction to read DirectX files on FlashPlayer or Away3D?
Away3D planning future loading files (.x files)?
Can I create a class to parser (.x files)?
It is hard?
It is possible?
Does any body now of any information that could help me?

Sorry if there are many questions, just looking for a light to guide me.

Any help will be highly valued wink
In advance, thanks!

By the Away3D rocks, good job guys!

I can’t say for sure its possible, but you can embed/read any file as a bytestream. From there, you’ll have to figure out how to parse the bytes.

Ok I see, but still I have to analyze the content line by line for the model marched in away3d, is’t it?
