I just went through tutorial on AwayBuilder and created AWD file. Now I can view the scene in Prefab and AWBuilder, but on importing to Air/Flash the scene/mesh does not appear. It is imported,  as I can see in stats polygons and memory do increase much, but nothing changes on my scene. Does anyone have a working example displaying contents of AWD file?

The code is in the attach,

Hi

i just had a look at your AWDViewer.as and to me it looks as if it should work…

what is with the scale of your model ?
sometimes its just far to big or far to small to see…

i see you have a fixed camera.z=-400
have you tried to play arround with this ?

also what is with position of the mesh ?

try repositioning the mesh to 0/0/0
if it still doesnt show, try scaling it down
if it still doesnt show, try scaling it up

if it still doesnt show, try to reassign a simple colorMaterial to the mesh.

if it still doesnt show, something is wrong…

hope that is any help

Hi 80prozent,

Thanks for replying. Actually the problem was with my AWD file. It’s content was displayed just in AwayBuilder but not in Prefab3D. When I tried more primitive version of this file (without lights), the mesh appeared in player. So now I will try to understand what is wrong with AWD files which contain lights.

Hm

Are you shure you are using the latest away3d ? (dev-branch)

Older versions of awd did not support light, so if you are using a outdated AWD2Parser, it will not read the lights.

The thing is: AwayBuilder is using the AWD2parser from Away3d dev-branch.
So if you are able to save a awd in AwayBuilder, and reopen it in AwayBuilder, the file is ok.
