Accessing Objects from a loaded AWD File

I have used the starting tutorials for my first look into the Away Builder. I noticed that the AWD scene was loaded into flash using a basic 3d loader. I was wondering if there was a way to access the elements of the loaded AWD so that I may possibly change the settings of the scene from triggered events.

The example that i’m thinking of is being able to display a 3d model of an engine. The user would be able to pan around the engine in the 3d environment. I would like to give the user an option to hit a button and turn the 3d engine into an explosion diagram (all the parts of the engine would animate outwards so the user could see all the parts). I was wondering if there is a way to access all the pieces without having to build the engine with just code.

Hi
Have a look at the examples repo on github. Best download the dev-branch of the examples. There you will find several examples that are using assetevents to handle each created asset.
