Hi,
Just picked up the new Flash Player 11 and I would expect to see some 3D smile But can’t get the examples out there working, e.g. http://blam3d.com/demos/f16fp11test.html

Now I have tried it on two machines, but I can’t get it to output 3D.
I only get the small monitoring panel in the top left corner??

Unfortunately the demo you link to hasn’t been recompiled to work for the current player. There’s been a few iterations and they have all required the developer to recompile with the newest playerglobal.swc, and version of Away3D. As a result there’s lots of broken demos out there.

Try this one :O)

Thank you! And how sweet to see 3D again wink The example you linked to is working perfectly (stage3D looks very powerfull). I’ll try and compile something later. I just started playing around with away3D and was very frustrated over demos not working.
Furthermore the setup with palyerglobal.swc is all very new to me, I’m trying to set up my flash develop with help from this guide http://www.mclelun.com/blog/2011/08/flashdevelop-stage3d-away3d/
But I had similar problems, not being able to se 3D, only normal display objects? Think I’m going to try again when I come home from work, if you can’t see any problems with the guide.

I too use Flash develop, but am using Flash CS5 for compile as I can’t get the f’‘king thing to work in FD and FP11. I have set it up on my brother-in-laws machine without a hitch, so it can be done!

Strange, I just tried setting it up on another machine as well, and it’s working. :/ I’ll try one more time at home and if it dosn’t work, I’ll use Flash CS5 like you.

I think it may have something to so with FlashDevelop finding FLash/Flash Builder when installing.
Have tried to make it refer to it’s own SDK everywhere I can find it in the config, but I just gave up. Too impatient to get compiling :O)

Let me know if you find a solution please!

Ok, I tried reinstalling everything (flash develop, flex, away3d etc.). I followed the guide http://www.mclelun.com/blog/2011/08/flashdevelop-stage3d-away3d/ and for some strange reason, this time it worked. I can compile in flash develop.

Thanks again for your help and I hope you get it working as well. smile
