Import/Export file format questions Software: Away3D 4.x

garzar, Newbie Posted: 18 March 2014 04:49 PM Total Posts: 1 Hi. New guy here. I have a MAYA file I would like to import.(.mb extension) How can i import this? I was also wondering about exporting files. Is it possible to export IGES or STEP files?
Fabrice Closier, Administrator Posted: 18 March 2014 05:55 PM Total Posts: 1265 [ # 1 ] There is no mb, iges or step format parsers in Away3D. You need to convert from maya and export as obj, collada, etc… Then use apps such as AwayBuilder or Prefab3D to export to the native awd file format.
