Hi,

I have a problem loading Mesh into prefab3d

Cheetah3d look:

Prefab import :

I bake the mesh using UV2 type, and tried to triangulate before baking it.
export as 3ds or obj does’t matter.

uvs are obvioulsy wrong… no warnings when loaded? What is the file format? What if you load it in another app? Same?

Hi, I think I solved the issues. Steps :

1 bake the texture in Cheethan and import it as Material.
2 delete the bake icons, you don’t need it anymore.
3 delete all the unnecessary materials used for baking.
4 set the imported Material as UV2 in the material panel and in the object panel.
5 export as .3ds
6 now it should work in prefab smile
7 you can export as AWD2 and load in AWAY3d 4 without any problem.

I day for this ! Hell !

One question :

Prefab scales the cheetah model in a range from 600 to 750 times, and on Ipad I scale the model 0.5 to see it at fullscreen. Do we have a method to calculate the scale instead of testing it ?

Regards

Ratios are what you make of it. Away3D uses units, and is not coupled to any scale factors.
The fact that you see with half scale on your iPad is because of the camera distance, very near of the model.
Working with very small values is subject to rounding errors. That’s why Prefab proposes you to rescale. You are free to accept or not.

If you want set up Prefab/Sheetah, one easy way to proceed is to make one primitive in Prefab, export it as obj then scale your project within sheetha after the primitive object is loaded/imported.
