It’s a good suggestion, but it might be a little bit too much work because of the way ANEs are built compared to how Alchemy ports are built. Maintaining both might require quite the effort, but it’s worth considering! We would also have to take into account whether it would actually provide a performance improvement though. The ANE interface isn’t entirely designed for high-volume data marshaling, so it might be too slow to actually provide any performance improvements worth the effort.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I think the effort should be on the Alchemy version. I still couldnt understand why the current AwayPhysics Alchemy version in not working on IOS. I mean there are alot of Alchemy libraries which i use with no issue (Box2D, etc.). Why do we need to wait for Alchemy2 inorder to use AwayPhysics now?? That is far more important than anything else at this point.

Are you sure you are compiling Box2D with flash 11.2 or above, because alchemy is still supported in earlier versions.

Yes, i am compiling Box2D with the latest Flash and AIR for sure.
-swf-version=17 is in the compiler arguments. That is the reason that i am kind of certain about the issue of AwayPhysics Alchemy implementation. I dont think the reason is simply because Alchemy 2.0 is needed. The current implementation should work with the latest Flash/AIR and on IOS.

@alitan: Generally you don’t want to use Alchemy/FlasCC/CrossBridge stuff on mobile. Use ANE instead smile

@fxdev: Cool, looking forward to it working on Android without falling back on AS3 version smile

I assume it is Bullet 2.81 and not v3

ANE version is really better than flacc since the performance on mobile.I have tested the awayphysics example basic test on ipod4,the fps is really bad.And the test is of cource based on standard released version. This result is telling me to give it up.However with ANE,I see the hope.

Great!
By the way,is there any possiblity in recent future that Air runtime has intergrated physics?I heard that on the Argument “Air is dead”.If so,that will be wonderful.

Yes, big post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/5997922

Is there a vote for integrated physics somewhere?
