Hello,

With the version 4 loaded and installed, I still find it hard to pick up a proper tutorial for setting up a simple scene.

http://www.allforthecode.co.uk/aftc/forum/user/modules/forum/article.php?index=6&subindex=3&aid=295

In this tuto for instance, colorMaterial.lights doesn’t exist, neither the Cube geometry (CubeGeometry instead with different init params).

I encountered similar problem with the Setup Your Scene tutorial
http://away3d.com/tutorials/Setting_Up_Your_Scene
Mesh class seems deprecated, though it’s version 4.

Is there any good intro tutorial to set up a standard scene which would work with version away3d-core-fp11_4_1_6.swc ?

Thanks guys!

Badoumba,

Part of the problem is that the Away3D library is being updated and improved so fast, it is hard to keep up current tutorials.

The best advice is to download the latest example files from the github repository, and then hack away (delete lines) of code, and see what breaks the scene and what doesn’t.

That’s how I made this bare minimum scene tutorial for the AwayJS library.

It’s up to date.
Unfortunately you want it for flash player.

I know that’s not the answer you wanted, but i find the the best way to learn, is to teach. The next best way is to hack some existing code and see what works with what.

Thanks!
It seems indeed that Github examples are closer to the last version. Starting with this!
