Hi all!
I have a question. If I export a model from 3ds max (.awd) with multiple objects, in the “export viewer” it looks good but when I load the model the objects have moved. Unless I put all objects pivotpoint to 0,0,0 in max. How do I solve this?
edit:
I get the same problem if I try to import animation, put I can’t solve that by moving the pivot point. Is there a magic trick to importing animation
Have a nice day!

Does anyone know of any good documentation on the subject?

I suppose you already read this turorial ?
I can’t help any further unfortunately, but if this is important you could contact directly the guy who made the model from the tutorial.
Maybe there’s something useful in Away3D’s dev examples on github, too.

Thanks for the reply! Yep I have read that one. I’m trying to figure out the what’s the does and don’ts when using animation. Everything in that scene works great but when I try in my own scene object rotate around a different pivot and gets moved around.

Have you tried exporting as, say, a 3DS file, and then importing it in AwayBuilder or Prefab3D ? They should be able to save a better AWD file than the 3DS Max plugin, I’d guess… Worth a try.
