I LOVE you guys. As an amateur 3D modeler / texturer now turned AS programmer, I am getting all fuzzy inside at the idea of combining two passions in one. The normal map newspost was the cherry on the sundae.
I think I’m having an heart-attack. BBL.

Away 3D really looks impressive to me. I have a question. Does Away3D have an edge over Papervision 3D? Maybe in processing speed, capabilities…
Looking forward to an answer. Thanks.
I am currently experimenting on Papervision but MAY make the switch to Away3D

Great work on this and it looks good and nice to learn. Problem is, there doesn’t seam to be much in the way of support places.. Where do i go with a problem?

Hi!
I’ve seen a lot of away3d and other 3d engines, and I’m interested in creating my own. (I just like to do stuff myself, and also it’s helping me get familiar with exactly what happens where). I do have just one or two questions:
One: What rendering process do you use? (Ray Caster, normal projection..etc.)
Two: I’m interested in learning the techniques of texture mapping surfaces. I’ve read a lot about it, and only seem to be able to find articles that tell you how to do pixel by pixel, which is not fast at all.
I hope that the away3d team is open and friendly enough to help out a fellow developer!
(Please e-mail me the answer)

Hi guys, I would like to invite you to visit my site and see some of my work with away3d at:
http://victorribeiro.com
I have some questions, who can I talk to?! Any direct e-mail or msn?
One of my questions is, I want to offer a 360º panorama render (as you can see at my website) to my clients… Do I have to buy a license? How can I buy it?
Another thing is… I really want to make a tour inside a 3D scene. I wish I could import objects in to the flash, assemble a scenario and after that, drop a camera in it and walk around like videogames… you know, mouse look around, W A S D keys move the camera…
*the examples in my site ware made in version 2.0, I din’t had time to learn the new versions yet.
Thanks for your time!
=)

Hi Guys,
Thank you so much for developing a tool that is quite siimply fantastic. I’ve just created my first away3d project http://www.galwayvirtualcity.com, for a college project. It was my first attempt at a flash project and my first attempt at an away3d project! If I can do it anyone can!
Keep up the good work, 3D is the future :)
