Hi guys,

Can anyone confirm if using DirectionalLight3D and WhiteShadingBitmapMaterial works in away3d 2.5?  I’m unfortunately locked in to using this older version.

I have a plane the whos material is set to WhiteShadingBitmapMaterial w/ a bitmap texture.  When the lighting is added the plane turns full white.  If the verteces on the plane are distorted the whole plane turns black.  I have been searching around for a solution and have come across two threads with similar issues:

I( was hoping someone could confirm if in this old away3d build if using theses two classes together works, and if so what the work around is.  I really would like to add shadding to the surface as it gets distorted.

Thanks for any help

Andreas

I found a work around.  I’ve had to regress even further. the oldest version for which this creates no errors is v 2.3.3.  Just in case anyone else comes across this the problem, I am trying to use the as3dmod Cloth modifier ( available in the svn) with the above settup.  For all elements to play nice I’ve had to revert to this old build.
