September 25th this issue was supposedly fixed by Rob Bateman.
However, downloading the latest source from GitHUB, away3d-away3d-core-fp10-49af76b.zip, which is the master, does not include this fix.
Not sure if this is my issue or a GitHUB commit issue.
[UPDATE]
I give up. The fix was modified September 25th, 2010. I have no idea why this is still broken. Some times I hate Open Source for this reason.
