I created a file in blender with only 5 cubes.  Nothing else.

I saved the file and then exported it as 3ds.

When I load the file into away3d and then it goes to render it, I get the error

Error: Error #3611: Stream 1 is read by the current vertex program but not set.

Could you show not the error message alone but also the debug method call that takes to the error? That should help determine what’s going on….

BTW, is there anyway to upload graphic files to this forum?  It won’t let me attach a 3ds file.

Looks like your model doesn’t have normals data. Can you try locating the sub geometry that contains your vertices and do

yourMesh.geometry.subGeometries[yourSubGeomIndex].autoDeriveVertexNormals true

I’ve changed the site’s attachment settings to allow the upload of 3D models of up to 1mb. Try attaching the model and let me know if that worked out for you!
