3D Studio Max 2015 to Away3D pipepline

Hey guys.
We’re trying to develop a game that uses bone animations. Our GFX IDE of choise is 3D Studio Max 2015. Right now we are unable to export any meaningful art from it into Away3D. We’ve tried OpenCollada (away3D randomly crashes at runtime when playing the animation), MD5 (we could not find any decent exporters) and even tried first importing the models into AwayBuilder and then loading the *.awd file.

I’ve attached the broken model in case anybody is interested.

What’s your development pipeline? What do you use from scratch until importing everything into the engine?
