In v4.1 what class replaces v3.6 LODObject class (Level Of Details Object)?

In a v3.6 project I am migrating to v4.1 a LODObject class is used to reduce CPU work on far away objects. The class definition was in away3d.containers.LODObject but that class is gone in v4.1.

Is there a replacement for it?
