Hi, firstly I want to admit that I’m new, and pretty much noob in all flash scripting.
But I’m wondering how can I start using this? I’m getting slowly into classes variables and so on, and by following tutorials I’m able to understand few bit here and there (if they are a tiny bit in-depth).
I’m in phase where I see ac3 code and I’m able to tell, ok here is button and it changes some property somewhere in scene if condition is fulfilled.
I was expecting, this being basically an extension, that there will be some changes and I will be spending most of the time with api reference.
.... here is a catch .. after asking mr. google for help I found a lot of useless tutorials on how to get this thing working. Useless because they are for older versions, and not only that, they are for extremely specific releases (you have to download additional 5 other applications and change everything in them…)
ok… So I’ve downloaded year old version, and set it up. It worked ... hurray ...
Sure, I was able to open example files and even change few things in them. Well that’s about it.
Not everything is sad and nihilistic, I’m still interested in using this and willing to give it time it deserves.
Is there a way to get this working only using flash (cs5 and higher) without the need of flash builder. If so please point to me to a book, online tutorial.
If it cant be done, than please is there a tutorial on how to start using NEWEST version. Maybe with some extremely simple code that would create camera+mesh+light.
It’s shame that “nobody” think of that before. Putting hyperlink next download button with easy 10 step easy to follow process how to get this thing working.
I do know that this is open source project and without money there is only limited amount of people caring and willing.
If nothing else, please tell me how to use online api reference. Just simple thing to find possible properties of .mesh is unrealistically hard.
Starting scripting with maxscript was breeze besides this.
I’m sorry if this sound bit bitchy.(and also my english is strange, I know that)
best regards,
Tweek
