SphereGeometry normals are not unit length

Hello. I wrote custom a shader and I get strange behavior. After hours of debugging I decided to check vertex data. And I was surprised when I saw that generated normals are not unit length. Currently I’m normalizing normal inside shader. Now I’m just interesting - why?
