Cheapest shadow methods?

Hi! I’d like to know which would be the cheapest shadow method for a mobile app I’m developing, I’ve been trying with many of them (Soft, Hard, etc…) but they just destroy the performance and run the app at 10-15 fps..I’ve been looking for some documentation too but no luck so far.

First question to ask yourself, do you actually need realtime shadows?
A lot can be faked through baked shadows.

I often use a plane underneath an object with a pre-rendered soft shadow on a white background. Using the “multiply” blend mode mixes the colour of the shadow with whatever it’s placed upon, and means you don’t need to use transparency which would otherwise bloat your texture size and be heavy too.
