Hi,

I’m fairly new to Away3D, but have enjoyed playing around with it so far, I am struggling with 3D Text though just wondering how can I achieve this with Away3D? the text needs to be dynamic (so created on the fly), something which looks like the link below would be great.

Not found much evidence that Its possible in Away3D. I have managed to do some 2D text which sits nicely in the 3D space on a PlaneGeometry (double sided) but looking to create something with a bit more depth.

Thanks

I like the 3D text in this example, but I’m not really sure how to safely extract just the textmesh, (assuming that’s the key mechanism.)  Would it be possible to create a demo app, that just displays the text in a view3d, without the slider component, etc?  Thanks!

I also would like to see a slimmed down version of this. The example looks great but have struggled to extract just the Text portion, I tried instantiating a new TextMesh but that didn’t work so I presume there are more dependencies somewhere along the chain.

Would really appreciate a simple example without everything else i.e. a couple of classes which I can use in my project to create 3D text like in your example.
