scale and rotation question

when I add mesh in mesh

var boomerCar:Mesh;
twr1 Mesh(cnT.getChildAt(0));
twr1.geometry.scale(2);
boomerCar.addChild(twr1); 

everything works correctly

but
if I start rotating twr1, it changes proportions.
that is extended, narrowed.

twr1.yaw(5
