see image.

if somebody know how it can be fixed, that would be great smile

I dont know why, but i cant open your attached picture…

i refreshed the page several times, but still not open up…

edit: i have updated most of my projects to c4d r14, so i cant provide them…they wont open in r13 :(

I didnt tested much with self-made animations, most test i made were with mocap-data, where a keyframe is on every frame.
maybe you deformations are caused by interpolation between frames and messing up the rotation….

edit: i even tested it with r14, but the same results. i thing it is my joints structure.

@ 80prozent,

i want to let you know i’ve got my final model working!
You saved my day smile

But there are still some bugs.
When my friend opened the .awd in flash/away3d he did get this error:

ArgumentErrorError #2008: Parameter vertexStreamFormat must be one of the accepted values.

at flash.display3D::Context3D/setVertexBufferAt()

at away3d.core.base::SkinnedSubGeometry/activateJointIndexBuffer()[/Users/Timboland/Strafwerk/IN2AR/libs/away3d/core/base/SkinnedSubGeometry.as:119]
 at away3d
.animators::SkeletonAnimator/setRenderState()[/Users/Timboland/Strafwerk/IN2AR/libs/away3d/animators/SkeletonAnimator.as:199]
 at away3d
.materials.passes::MaterialPassBase/updateAnimationState()[/Users/Timboland/Strafwerk/IN2AR/libs/away3d/materials/passes/MaterialPassBase.as:273]
 at away3d
.materials::MaterialBase/renderPass()[/Users/Timboland/Strafwerk/IN2AR/libs/away3d/materials/MaterialBase.as:344]
 at away3d
.core.render::DefaultRenderer/drawRenderables()[/Users/Timboland/Strafwerk/IN2AR/libs/away3d/core/render/DefaultRenderer.as:158]

So i delete all the textures within C4D project and it worked

explanation of what i did:
1. i take the skeleton of the polarbear, and transformed the joints so it fits my vertex character.
2. deleted the material out of the material editor, and even the material tag of the vertex object/character. (didden’t delete the uvw tag)
3. export it with the awd exporter.
4. opened it in prefab. There was no deformation of the joints smile and the animation played as well. Now put the material back on within prefab.
5. exported as a AS3 class.

Hi koffertje

I really do not know whats going on with the skeleton-Animation.

If i use the PolarBear.awd provided by Away3d in the Examples on GitHub, it works very well and the Animation looks great in Prefab and Away3d.

Whenever i try to set up a simple Skeleton-Animation (like a simple chain of joint transforming a cylinder), it works too.

When i try to set up a complex character (like a Biped-Rigg), it will show up transformed in Prefab, and will not play in away3d at all.

I tried to figure this out yesterday, but had no success so far.
In Cinema4d i really see no difference between my own custom Biped-Rigg and the Away3d PolarBear-Rigg.

@ 80prozent,

You saved my day smile

By telling me you got it working, you just saved my day too.

I tested the material-export quite a lot, so i believe it has something to do with the combination of skeleton-animation and materials….

You seam to be the first one to test the skeleton-animation at all…
I think its important to have other people than me testing this plug.

I would be happy if you would keep testing the plugin, so we will have a 100% working solution in near future (not only 80% as is right now)

cheers

Robin

80prozent,

that would be great! i will help smile i have 4 more characters to do so that would be no problem.
it is even the first solution what is working for me. and i thing some other c4d users will be happy to see this plugin that will work with prefab/away3d.

it is only a hard way to learn. but know where finding the bugs wink
if you have a update let me know!

@koffertje: i think its better to use this thread http://away3d.com/forum/viewthread/4009/ for any further discussion of the plugin, so we collect all infos in one thread…
