Hi
me again
recently i find my self much time looking at the awd2 file format specifications found here:
http://code.google.com/p/awd/source/browse/doc/spec/AWD_format_specification.odt
3 questions:
1. in the specs, there is allready defined how cameras and light blocks should look like, but there is no functionallity to parse them with the awd2parser inside of away3d. i checked the master and the dev-branch right now. will that appear in a near future ?
2. what about light pickers ? wouldnt it be great to have those in awd2 ?
3. why not using the meshInstanceBlock as a sceneObject/meshInstanceBlock, and allow it to target not only geometryBlocks, but ContainerBlocks also? This way we could have instances of hirarchies. i dont think the fileformat would have to be changed at all, all changes would have to be made on import/export.
dont really know if this is the right place to post this…
thanks for any answers
[edit: sorry question 4: why was the c4d removed from the list of apps that will support awd in future ? would i need to have a license for c4d to release such plugins ?]
