Hi guys,

i am a beginner to away3d and I have a question.
I would like to build i.e. a house in 3dsmax and import this as a awd into away3d 4gold.

By clicking at a menu I would like to to see only different rooms of the houses, like the dinning room, sleeping room etc. What is the best way to get through (also regarding the performance) ? Can I load one whole awd into the AssetLibrary and render only some meshes or is it possible to load different awd and to switch them on and off ? Is it possible to work with layers ? Can I combine this with the Stage3DManager ?

Many thanks,
Mihausen

Yes, you can. best way would be to define groups of meshes in your editor to allow to remove/addchild them as objectContainer3D. If the house is highly detailed, then you might consider split the source model in multiple parts to allow faster loadings and probably ease your toggles. Code and memory wize.

Thank you for the answer.

I would like to choose the way of multiple AWDs, can I group/specify them in a AssetLibrary for quick access or do I have to search for the meshes in the Library ?
