3ds texture displayed at a 90 degree angle in away3D

I’ve got a runway mesh, it has a narrow and long texture ( 256 * 32 ).

In max the texture runs along the runway just fine.

In away 3D the texture is displayed at a 90 degree angle. The striping is running sideways, not along the direction of the runway.

My airplanes are getting confused on where to land, how do I solve this?
