Is there a way to choose between hardware (GPU) and software rendering via code? I’ve got a project that utilizes video and it isn’t rendering well on the GPU (OpenGL). Is there a way to force the app to render via software?

when a flash app is open right click on it and select Settings
Then in the first tab you should see a check box for “Hardware acceleration enabled” uncheck that and you should be using software now

To add to this discussion…

- is there a way to do this with Adobe AIR app, as there is no ‘right click’ functionality.  There must be a toggle API somewhere.

- If there is a simple example of an AIR app with Away3d, I have yet to locate it… a pointer to such a thing may be helpful to all us Newbs (still trying to learn enough here to help out the group as a whole)
