Display 3D object in “original”-size

Hey guys,

lets say i’ve an bitmap material which is 512px x 512px on a plane.

How can i position the plane so that the size fits 512px x 512px on the screen? I think i’ve to change the z-position of the object, but how can i calculate which z-position the plane must-have?
