Screen goes white when I add a light to a material, or load 3ds.

I have a model I’ve exported to both .obj, and .3ds.
The .obj loads perfectly fine, but if I load the .3ds the screen goes white.
I have an AssetContextLoader stopping it from loading dependencies, so I no other idea as to why the .3ds wouldn’t load.

Everything from applying a material to loading the .obj goes smoothly.
Except when I try to add a directional light to the material.

defaultMaterial.lights [dirLight]

I also have the Flash Player Debugger, and it has no errors.

If anyone is willing to help me enough, I can send you the small actionscript file along with everything else.

Thanks!

Not 100% clear on when your problem is occurring, only on 3ds load with directional light or..?  Either way here`s a couple of things to try:

Position and target of the directional light.

Does the model display when loaded in both 3ds and obj?

Check object scale as they may differ between the two formats ( ie the 3ds version might be appearing huge and filling the screen ).
