Part of material not reflecting light possible?

Is it possible to combine two different materials with transparencies, with only one of them reflecting light? Like having text just on solid color and the background reflecting light normally?

I’m not talking about assigning two different materials to two different triangle sets on the same object, I need this effect on the same triangle set, with drawing methods. Is it possible in Away3D 4?

Or can it only be achieved with shaders programming?

Sounds like what you want to achieve can be done using a reflection or specular map. That’s a bitmap that you assign to your material and that indicates what parts should be reflective/affected by specular light. .

I’ve had some success, thanks!

Can you give me a short example with a reflectivity map?
