The same thing happens if I try to run Fabrice’s .apk from thread 1767.
away3d.com/forum/viewthread/1767/

So I assume that no, the Android emulator can’t handle Stage3D.

Away3D 3.6.0 doesn’t use Stage3D. Congrats, but it’s not the same thing we’re talking about.

I wonder if this might be caused by the fact that Android emulator lacks OpenGL ES support that comes from the underlying hardware, which I believe I read is being implemented to the Emulator in the future, though you’d still think the scene to be available in Software mode.. perhaps it’ll render in software when Away3D adds the functionality to force software rendering for debug purposes?

Update. I’ve now also tried Fabrice’s .apk file in YouWave and Bluestacks android emulators, and gotten the same effect. Whitescreen. Does anyone have another working Stage3D .apk file, just in case this is specific to the one I’m using? (Unlikely being as Fabrice is a dev and I’ve read about this whitescreen thing elsewhere, but possible.)
