3dmax to away3d model position wrong

Hi all,

First take a look at this image: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/215/carbzy.jpg/

I try to load the car model from 3dmax into away3d but everything is messed up…
In 3dmax the model looks good but then i export it to an 3DS file and import it into away3d and nothing is in the correct position anymore.
Any ideas?

Hi,

Try a resetXform on every model before exporting ?

edit : or maybe you have some hierarchy with relative positions, and the hierarchy is not kept when the .3DS gets parsed, just a thought.

There was a bug in the way coordinate systems were converted between 3ds Max and AWD/Away3D. This bug was fixed in version 1.0.2 of the exporter plug-in. Make sure you have the latest, and if the bug still remains please file a bug report over at http://awd.googlecode.com
