is there something like an FFD modifier?

I have loaded a cylinder 3DS file and now I would like to deform, for example make the base scale out like a cone, or squash the center to make an hourglass?

The appropriate modifier in 3ds max would be a 3x3x3 FFD modifier, is there a similar way in Away3D 4.x to do this?

Thanks!

For rounded shapes, you can use the Lathe Class in extrusions. You simply pass a profile.
If you need to do this every frame, I saw asmod has been ported to Away4 (http://flashdaily.net/) tho it is cpu based.
Away doesn’t have gpu based modifiers yet.
