We know a lot of mesh(like 100 or 1000) oes slow the speed down quite a lot in the previous away3d version.

We are just wondering in away3d 4, Does lot of meshed (say 100-1000 of mesh) slow down speed dramaticly at same face count level(say 50,000 triangles)?

Because this truely changes the way of artist making models.

Lots of meshes is indeed heavier than few meshes with many triangles.
Here’s a good article from Away’s David Lenaerts.

You can use the Merge class, in the client to take meshes that were imported or generated seperately and but them together to single mesh.

I’ve seen “pure Molehill” demos with thousands and thousands of objects, but they are probably using the similar principles.
