Changing the Pivot Point of a Mesh

Hi,

I see lots of people have asked about this, but nobody seems to have got an answer.

I can set the pivotPoint of a mesh without error, but the new pivot point is ignored.  Is it supposed to work, or should I be using something else?

No it doesnt work, its one of those fun bugs that gets constantly ignored.
Workaround
forum/viewthread/1680/ <- stick that in url (stupid forum spam stops links)

I think setting the pivot points on objects (meshes) is a pretty substantial bug.
