Hey I’m just making the first steps with Away3D.
And I got stucked with the very first tutorial here (Setup the scene).
I tried to create a mesh but importing by
import away3d.entities.Mesh;
doesn’t work. The object isn’t found.
Can you tell me why?

ObjectContainer3D and others also not found.
the swc from download site seems to be not complete.

if I download the souces all classes are there.
but when I add them I get some errors from within that sources.
Could you please send me a link to a stable version of Away3D?

I’ve been using the stable swc and git sources for a while with no problems.
It looks like a problem in your development setup, probably you are not referencing the away lib correctly. So double check your dev environment setup and compiling options.
Or try a competent IDE that does (most of) the task for you (FDT, FlashBuilder, FlashDevelop…).

hey thanks for reply.
I am using Flashbuilder and had nerver problems with using swc.
I doublechecked the correct integration of the swc and downloaded it a second time.
The swc from download site is still not working correctly.
Now I downloaded the sources and its working.
So the swc seems to be not complete.
Maybe this reads a mod who can trigger fixing that issue.

When you said “its not working correctly” you mean the swc you getting is corrupted, or you can see the classes, but can’t reference them in your project?
I’ve just downloaded from the download page and tested the SWC in a new (Air 4.0) project without a problem.
Check if my MD5 hash matches yours:
e8268f223ecf7de2e715fb8f2d5767a3 away3d-core-fp11_4_1_6.swc
So I may insist, the swc is fine and its probably something in your setup.
Try checking the FlashDevelop forum for similar problems too.
