Verify error: illegal override of lights

Have just bitten the bullet and rather belatedly upgraded my application to Away3D 4.0 Gold from Broomstick.  Well, it is 2014…

I think I’ve sorted out most of the Gremlins which are related to the new way of using lights and the demise of BitmapMaterial, but this one has me stumped:

VerifyError: Error #1053: Illegal override of lights in away3d.materials.DefaultMaterialBase.

I’m not even sure where to start looking.  I’ve replace all uses of ‘lights’ as a variable name with ‘lightPicker’ but still no joy.  I haven’t extended DefaultMaterialBase either - so how can I be overriding it?

Any ideas?

I am a total plank.

I had Broomstick in the build path along with Gold.  Shame there isn’t a delete post option here as it would stop me looking like such a numpty.

Oh well, back to the code!
