bitmaptexture limitations at 2048

Hi! At first, sorry for poor english, i’m not native speaker.
i know about limitation of max size of bitmapdata for bitmaptexure (2048 && power of 2). can i avoid this someway?
finally, my target is to set pic on sphere (making 3d panoram & don’t want to use ready decisions). mayby i can do that using other ways?

Not currently.

my target is to set pic on sphere (making 3d panoram & don’t want to use ready decisions). mayby i can do that using other ways?
Simply rescale your maps before loading them or right after they are loaded.

and can i place several textures on 1 mesh(sphere)?

have seen an example, mayby even here, but it was a cube, not sphere.
